FAQ

Premium Tattoo Artistry · Saniderm Method

🧼 Initial Bandage & Cleaning

Q: How long should I keep the first Saniderm bandage on?

• Keep the first bandage on for 3 to 24 hours, depending on howmuch the tattoo is weeping.
• If fluid buildup is visible, it’s normal—but do not exceed 24 hours before replacing.

• Remove in the shower for comfort.
• Find an edge and peel back over itself, following the direction of hair growth.
• Never remove from dry skin—this can traumatize the area.

• Wash hands thoroughly first.
• Use lukewarm water and fragrance-free antibacterial soap.
• Gently clean with circular motions—avoid scrubbing or excessive lather.
• Pat dry with a clean towel or air dry for 10 minutes.

🩹 Second Bandage & Reapplication

• Wear for 3 to 6 days, with 6 days being ideal.
• If irritation, fluid buildup, or lifting occurs, it’s okay to remove early.

• No. Once scabbing or flaking starts, discontinue bandage use.
• Focus on moisturizing thoroughly during this phase.

💧 Moisturizing & Balm Use

• Apply a thin layer of balm or lotion twice daily after cleaning.
• Continue for 2 weeks, or until the tattoo stops peeling and flaking.
• For deeper healing, moisturize regularly for 2–4 months.

Yes. Excess moisture can:

• Slow healing
• Invite bacterial growth
• Increase risk of inflammation
• Clog pores and cause breakouts

• Skin may dry out, leading to excess scabbing, flaking, and discomfort.
• Use a light, breathable balm like Sanibalm to maintain balance.

🚿 Showering, Swimming & Exercise

• Yes, but keep showers brief and avoid hot water.
• Heat and water can weaken the adhesive and irritate the skin.

• No. Submerging the tattoo increases risk of contamination and adhesive failure.
• Light exercise is fine, but avoid activities that cause excessive sweating.

🧴 Product Recommendations

• Use Tattoo Foam Soap with colloidal silver and lavender for antimicrobial support.

• Use Sanibalm or a petroleum-free, fragrance-free balm.
• Avoid petroleum jelly—it traps impurities and restricts oxygen.

🧠 Why Saniderm?

• Saniderm is a medical-grade, breathable, waterproof bandage.
• It protects against bacteria, friction, and environmental contaminants.
• Promotes occlusive wound healing, reducing scabbing and fading.
• Eliminates the need for constant washing and ointment reapplication.
